Estrich: It's Hillary

Susan Estrich says that Hillary will steamroll her way to the nomination. In general, she's right, but you gotta wonder about this part:

As for the general election, the fact that John Kerry, who is certainly no more appealing than Hillary, almost won, proves that it can be done. Under the direction of the best campaign manager in American history, the Hillary Clinton campaign will make none of these mistakes. Strategically, it will be brilliant. Tactically, it will be flawless. There will be one campaign manager, and everyone will know who he is, and except for Hillary, no one will be able to call him Bill. So watch out. Like I said, four more years.

I don't quite get the "watch out" comment. Is Estrich warning Republicans or Democrats?

What The Best-Dressed Finance Directors Are Wearing

How long before we see her in an orange jumpsuit?

Hillary's Finance Guy Indicted

Gotta love this one:

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's former finance director has been indicted on charges of causing false campaign finance reports to be filed with the Federal Election Commission, the Justice Department said Friday.

The indictment of David Rosen, unsealed in Los Angeles, focuses on his fund-raising for an Aug. 12, 2000, gala for Clinton in Los Angeles. The New York Democrat was still first lady at the time.

Here's the backgrounder on the investigation.

In the summer of 2000, the memo said, Paul sought to bribe Bill Clinton in an attempt to win a pardon for his three felony convictions. Part of the alleged bribe was Paul's financing the bulk of fund-raising events for Mrs. Clinton's campaign, Youssef wrote.

Hillary Quotes

June 28, 2004:

"Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you," Sen. Clinton said. "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

Something to remember when Hillary claims not to be a redistributionist Democrat in 2008.
